How to Choose Thigh-High Stocking Length and Size

Compare real 50/65 cm and 60/70 cm stocking options, measure your intended top position, and separate garment measurements from height suggestions.

Choose thigh-high stockings by checking two things together: the length offered for the exact style and the circumference where you want the top to sit. A label such as Regular or Long is only a starting point. It can describe different garment lengths on different products.

Decide where you want the top to finish beneath your outfit, then read the matching product guide. Your height alone cannot show how the stocking will stretch or where its top will sit on your leg.

Compare the actual lengths, not just the labels

Two Frillora styles show why it helps to open the full selector. They both offer two lengths, but the listed numbers are different.

Listed lengths for two Frillora stocking styles
Style Listed stocking lengths Other selection details
Glossy thigh-high stockings in two lengths 50 cm or 65 cm Black, White, or Nude single-color options
Lace-top stockings in two lengths 60 cm or 70 cm Red or Blue; unlined or light fleece lining

These are the product’s listed garment lengths, rather than measurements of how high the stockings will reach on every wearer. The amount and direction of stretch affect the position of the top.

Take two measurements before choosing

Measure around the intended top position

Place a measuring tape around the part of your thigh where you want the stocking top to sit. Keep it level without pulling it tight. Compare that number with the thigh guidance for the specific product, rather than a size chart from another style.

For example, the guide for the 50/65 cm style lists a maximum thigh circumference of 55 cm. The guide for Frillora’s glossy lace-top stockings lists 50 cm for its offered finish rows. Those limits should not be swapped between products.

Note your preferred wearing height

Measure from your heel to the position where you want the top to sit. Keep this body measurement separate from the garment length in the selector. If you already own stockings that fit, they can provide a useful personal reference, but their length cannot establish the stretch or fit of another fabric.

Read height guidance in context

The 60/70 cm lace-top style gives supplier height suggestions of 155–170 cm for its 60 cm option and 171–185 cm for its 70 cm option. Use them as guidance alongside the product details, rather than a guarantee of fit.

The height guidance for the 50/65 cm style is explicitly marked as an estimate based on similar styles. It is not a measured fit result for that product. Do not transfer the other style’s height bands to it or calculate a new height range in proportion to the stocking length.

The 60/70 cm lace-top style also has separate lining choices. Check the selected color, lining, and length together.

Check the top as well as the length

The 60/70 cm style’s description specifies silicone inside the tops, intended to help the stockings stay in place. That is a feature of this product, not a promise that every wearer will experience the same hold. A lace top or the word stockings alone does not establish a self-supporting construction. Read the individual product’s support details and any accessory requirements.

Before adding a pair to your cart

  • Confirm the garment length on the exact selected option.
  • Compare your thigh measurement with that product’s guide.
  • Distinguish supplier suggestions and estimates from garment measurements.
  • Check color, lining, top construction, and the selected configuration together.

Use the Stockings & Hosiery collection to find a style you like, then let its own measurements guide the choice.
